Napili Bay parking and beach access, honestly
There is no parking lot. There is no secret lot. There are two residential streets with public access paths, a narrow window when they have space, and a lot of people who find that out the hard way.

Let us deal with the question you actually typed into Google. Yes, Napili Bay is public. Yes, you are allowed to be there. No, you cannot park in the resort lot. And no, there is nowhere to leave a car within sight of the sand at eleven in the morning in July.
Hawaii protects public shoreline access in law — landowners cannot block, obstruct, or grow a hedge across a public access corridor, and the beach below the high-water mark belongs to everybody. The resorts at Napili own the land behind the sand. They do not own the bay.
What they do own is the parking. Which is why the whole trick to Napili Bay is timing.
Two streets, two paths, one road for overflow.
Napili Place
1–2 min to the sandPublic beach access path at the end of the street. Short walk — a minute or two from the car to the sand. Free curbside parking on the street, and it is the first place everyone tries.
Hui Drive
2–4 min to the sandA second marked public access path, one street over. Parallel street parking. Slightly longer walk than Napili Place, and slightly better odds of a space because of it.
Lower Honoapiilani Road
3–6 min to the sandLimited overflow spots along the main road. Read the signage and do not block a driveway — these are people’s homes, not a car park.
The two windows.
Before 8am. This is the one that works. The sand is quiet, the water is glassy, the light is good, and there are spaces. It is also the best time to be in the water, so you are not sacrificing anything — you are just getting up.
After 2pm. The morning crowd leaves, spaces open, and you get the second-best version of the day: warmer, a bit more wind on the water, and a sunset at the end of it. Trade the snorkelling for the view and this window is excellent.
Between the two is when people circle. If you arrive at midday and there is nothing, do not sit in the street with your indicator on hoping. Drive five minutes north to Kapalua Bay, which has an actual lot, and come back later.

Three ways to ruin it.
Do not park in a resort lot. Napili Kai, Napili Shores, Napili Sunset — those are for guests. The Sea House lot is monitored and it is for diners. Eat there and park like a customer, or park on the street. Do not split the difference.
Do not block a driveway. Napili Place and Hui Drive are residential streets where actual people live and actually need to leave their houses. This is the single fastest way to make a neighbourhood decide it dislikes visitors.
Do not leave anything visible in the car. Standard advice for every beach lot in Hawaii, and it holds here. Take the bag, leave the boot empty, do not make it interesting.

Parking and access questions
Is there a parking lot at Napili Bay?
No. There is no dedicated public parking lot for Napili Bay. Parking is free curbside on the residential streets that have public beach access — mainly Napili Place and Hui Drive — plus limited spots along Lower Honoapiilani Road.
How do I access Napili Beach?
Take the marked public beach access path at the end of Napili Place or the one off Hui Drive. Both drop you onto the sand within a minute or two of the street. Public shoreline access is protected by Hawaii law and cannot legally be blocked.
Can you walk through Napili Kai Resort to get to the beach?
Visitors regularly report walking through the resort passageway to reach the sand, and Hawaii law protects shoreline access. That said, the marked public access paths on Napili Place and Hui Drive are the certain route — use those and you will never have a conversation about it.
Can I park in a resort or restaurant lot?
No. Resort and restaurant lots are for guests and diners, and the Sea House lot is actively monitored. Park on the street, or eat first and park like a customer — do not leave a car in a private lot and walk to the beach.
What time should I arrive to get a parking spot?
Before about 8am is the reliable window, especially in summer and over the holidays. The second window opens in the mid-afternoon, roughly 2pm onward, as the morning crowd leaves. Midday is the worst time to go looking.
Are there restrooms at Napili Bay?
There are no public restroom buildings on the sand. Plan ahead — use facilities before you arrive, or be a paying customer somewhere nearby.
